Love the way my Weber Grills cook...just disappointed in the OE product quality

I have two Weber Grills and I love them both. My charcoal grill is 10 years old and still in great shape. The Weber quality with that grill prompted me to purchase a Weber gas grill a about 4 years ago. I have to say the grilling quality from both grills is top notch. However, the component quality on the Spirit 300 is lacking. Two years ago I had to replace the cast iron grilling grate. It had become so rusty that flakes of metal would ruin my food. Wanting to avoid the continual rusting issue...I opted for a stainless steel version. I didn't want to spend more $ to have the risk of rust particles in my food a year or two down the road. This year the flavorizer bars need replaced and I'm facing a similar dilemma. Is the stainless steel option worth the premium cost? I love my grill, but I hate the idea of continually throwing money at it to bring it to the quality level that I expect from Weber.

flavorizer bars

My Spirit grill has served me well for the last 4 years but the flavorizer bars are deteriorating. I had thought that the parts for my grill were warranteed and would be replaced at no charge but I can't find info on this. In addition I am having a problem with the paint on the inside of the grill top which is flaking onto the food that I am grilling. I'd appreciate your response. Thanks, Carl

Need to know how long Flavor Bars should last.

I really love my Genesis 330 grill, I bought it 3 years ago. When I went to clean it last week I noticed that most of the flavor bars are either rusting and/or eroding. I have the procelin bars, I thought those would last longer that have stainless steel. Can you tell me how long the stainless steel bars should last? I don't want to pay $80 dollars for something I will need to replace in 3 years, I can just buy another ceramic set. Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike! Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback! We are sorry to hear that happened to your flavor bars. Our Customer Service team will reach out to you to discuss the different flavor bars options for your grill. Thanks and grill on!

Stainless Steel Flavor Bars & Slide Out Grease Tray

I love Weber. This is not my first. I presently have a Weber Three Burner, Stainless Steel, Spirit, Special Edition. I purchased this grill June 7, 2012, and also registered this product via your online web site on the same day. My flavor bars are starting to rust and crumble, and I would like to replace them with the Stainless Steel Bars, which I see are available at almost twice the price. Will they last long enough to make them worth the extra $35.? Also, while scraping and cleaning the slide out grease tray, my putty knife went through the bottom of the tray? As I said earlier, I have had other Weber Grills, and have never encountered this problem before. Are they made thinner today? Either way, I going to need a new Slide Out Grease Tray for my grill. Please advise if anything would be covered via warrantee. ps. My grill has "always" been covered! Also, I purchased a Weber Cover for my grill earlier this year, and it did not fit! It was too small! I have also read other complaints regarding this issue? I ended up buying a less expensive Char Broil Cover which fits my Weber Grill better! I await your response, Thank You

Mansoor

need help to my question on Stainless Steel Flavorizer® Bars

My grill is about 5 years old, and all Porcelain-enameled Flavorizer® Bars are rusted and have edges being broken due to grease or food deposits. My question is about the Stainless Steel Flavorizer® Bars: Do they last any longer in lifespan? and do they also get oxidized, rusted due to grease and food deposits over 5 to 6 years period? Is it worth it to spend $79.99 vs. $44.99 Thanks, Mani

Hi Mansoor! Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback! We are sorry to hear your disappointment with your flavor bars. The stainless steel flavor bars are more durable. Our Customer Service team will reach out to you regarding your warranty. Thank you!
