With the Weber® wireless thermometer, you will know when your meat is ready to be taken off the grill without having to cut into your meat. Pre-programmed with recommended USDA temperatures and times, you will never have to guess again when that roast is ready. The two stainless steel probes allow you to have one check your ribs, while the other checks your pork roast. Grill twice as much at the same time! The timer function with countdown and alarm help keep you on track. Storage is easy. Simply place the thermometer on the docking station when not in use.

Thermometer not pairing

Got this thermometer as a present a year or two ago, managed to get it working a few times, but now it completely refuses to pair. I have exchanged batteries in both units, followed the instructions to the minute but is still refuses to pair.

This is a Great Tool

I received this from a very good friend for a Christmas present last December. The first time I was going to use it I had all the same problems that all of you have mentioned. I was in a hurry and expected to just plug it in and go with it but that didn't happen and at that time I didn't have the time to work on it. My friend has had one for a number of years and has had no problems and he knew I would enjoy it so a day or two after Christmas we got together to check it out. We set it up step by step as shown by Weber in the manual and we had the same problem that I did the first day that I used it. So we checked the trouble shooting section and there was complete instructions on how to get both units to talk together. We did exactly as instructed and viola everything was working correctly. Since then I've set it up and used it three times without any problem, so if you've had a problem with yours get it off the shelve and try it again just be sure to follow the trouble shooting section exactly and you to can enjoy your unit as I am. Recall?

Like others, I have found this unit to be terribly problematic. Which is to say it does not work. It worked once then never again. Sadly I purchased two, one for my parents and one for myself. Both do not function. I understand that another manufacturer produced this accessory and Weber had the misfortune of putting it's name on it. But now that Weber owns the company I hope the problems can be rectified and customers issues rectified. Past experience with Weber suggests to be the case. Time will tell.

3rd time NOT lucky!

I purchased three of these items and they have all stopped working within a few months. It appears that the control units are still working but the probe that goes into the meat does not work. When I use my professional ETI thermometer on meat that is taken from the fridge, it reads about 7 degrees. with the Weber version it reads 65 degrees and starts telling me the meat is cooked before its actually been anywhere near the flaming BBQ! These thermometers really let your reputation down Weber! I wanted to include a photo of all my old ones, but there is no facility to load one up. Cheers....Jon

Eating Batteries

We purchased this unit in late November of 2016. We have used it on our Weber grill to confirm how it works. Last night, we set the unit to work with slow cooking in the smoker. It began to eat receiver batteries. I had to replace the set in the receiver after a couple of hours. The newer batteries died in another 90 minutes or so. I changed brands of AA batteries. These died. I tried some Ni-MH (rechargeable) with no better performance. I purchased some fresh batteries. No change. By now the cooking was done and the unit was not needed. I started looking for indications of a problem. No matter which battery type or condition, the battery indicator showed a low battery. I expected that from the lower voltage Ni-MH. I did not expect that from the fresh four different brands I tried. We live in Central Florida. The temperature in the house where the receiver is used is in the low 70s. So ambient was well within the operational temperature range of these batteries. I also confirmed that the LCD light is turning down. Any suggestions or is this a defective unit?

WILL NOT PAIR DOES NOT WORK ON SECOND USE

Used once worked great, second use stopped working half way through my beer can chicken which I ended up over cooking because I spent an hour trying everything to get it to pair again (which it never did). Money wasted on the thermometer and my over cooked chicken, disappointing especially since I like my Webber grill so much.

Waste of Money

I have tried using this product numerous times and it has only worked once for me. I wasn't able to use the thermometer the first time I wanted to because it took an hour to get it to pair and the meat was already finished. I have tried changing the batteries every time I wanted to use it and it simply won't pair. The last time I tried it was Thanksgiving and I had to use a standard thermometer because the unit once again wouldn't pair.

Won't pair. Do not purchase. It will ruin your day trying to pair.

Just won't work. Had a terrible time getting it to work on first use. Second time around will not pair at all. Replaced batteries. Followed instructions. Finally gave up and used another instant read gauge. Gonna try and return for my money back. Does not work. Do not buy, you will be dissappointed.

Do not buy. Worked only once.

The remote thermometer and its base will not pair together. I tried buying new batteries as some suggested. Disappointed as this was not cheap and usually Weber products are so dependable. But even the operation of the product is not very self-Intuitive. You have to read booklet on how to change target temperature and corresponding animal pic. There are no video tutorials available online. I figured out how to work it first time and it worked great. But second time....total waste. Units will not pair. Put new Duracell batteries in. Nothing. Been working on it for 3 hours on Thanksgiving morning with turkey breast in WSM. Shame I have to use a regular thermometer and open cover later to check. So disappointed.

Will not pair

This product worked once... now it won't pair. New batteries didn't fix it. I followed the directions to the letter and no go. Weber needs to fix this.
