The counter weight makes this smooth
I love this rotisserie, I received as a Christmas gift about 7 years ago, and I have been using ever since. The counter weight eliminates the usual motor straining to get the heavy side of your meat up, which is quickly followed by the thump of the meat going over the top and over rotating only to have the motor catch up repeat until either done, or your meat is ripped from the spit.
The counter weight makes the motor sound the same, no thump and no strain.
I was even given the task of cooking the Thanksgiving and Christmas turkeys each year, and the recipe for the brined turkey in the Weber cookbook is a favorite.
I have cooked bone in pork butt, chickens, turkey, ribs, roasts, boneless butts, and a few other things I am sure I am forgetting. A large cone of kitchen twine is an essential item to have.
