These Flavorizer bars are really overpriced. I have had to replace mine every two years which amounts to $25.00 a year to maintain this grill. Granted, it is overall one the Best grills out there. I cannot afford $800 for a new grill, so I have to rebuild this one, which is about 20 years old, and I have owned it for 6 years. If you have to replace these get Stainless. They will last 5 times longer.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to learn of the experience you've had with the Flavorizer Bars on your Weber grill. Surface corrosion is quite common on Flavorizer Bars, and as long as there are no structural issues, such as cracks or holes, there should be no effect upon their functionalilty. Here's a blog containing more information on the subject. http://www.weber.com/weber-nation/blog/flavorizer-bars-replace-em-or-keep-em. Thanks!
