Disappointed with the Quality
This is my second set of Porcelain-Enameled Flavorizer Bars. The first set was replaced by Weber, due to rust within the second year. Now the replacement set is rusted after two years. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of these bars that are used on a grill that is used and stored outside. These flavorizer bars should not be rusting. My grill is 5 years old this summer and I already have to purchase a third set of flavorizer bars. I would expect better from Weber. I am going to order the Stainless Steal Flavorizer Bars in hopes that they do not rust out as well, especially since they are double the price. I contacted Weber about this and they will not replace them again. They said that they will only replace a part once under the warranty. The entire reason that I purchased a Weber grill for for the quality, workmanship and warranty.
Hi, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to learn of the experience you've had with the Flavorizer Bars on your Weber grill. Surface corrosion is quite common on Flavorizer Bars, and as long as there are no structural issues, such as cracks or holes, there should be no effect upon their functionalilty. Here's a blog containing more information on the subject. http://www.weber.com/weber-nation/blog/flavorizer-bars-replace-em-or-keep-em. Thanks!
